every spring + summer vacation, mom & I would fly to la - stay in our favorite beach town santa monica.. I would always hit up all the surf shops - one in particular on mainstreet in SM called ZJ Boarding House! I always thought I would grow up to work and retire there.. ! loved the staff, the vibe, everything about it.
